Landmark Hospital of Southwest Florida has an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our dedicated and professional team. Landmark Hospitals are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to those we serve.
Shift: PRN / part-time. Flexible scheduling! We can discuss a set number of hours per week that works for both of us.
Location: A few miles east of Ft Myers, in Lehigh Acres
OT Summary: Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, treatment and documentation of occupational therapy for patients.
Occupational Therapist (OT) Responsibilities:

• Reviews medical history, creates treatment plans and goals, shows patients how to use adaptive technology
• Assists patients with disabilities, injuries or illnesses to recover and cope through the use of common, everyday tasks, demonstrates exercises to relieve pain and increase mobility
• Knowledge of specific conditions, diseases, and treatment therapies for specific patient populations
• Assesses patients' physical, psychological, social, and educational needs to determine level and type of care
• Develops and maintains current patient treatment plan to include patient problems, goals, and interventions
• Delivers care based on acuity level, identified needs, and physician orders
• Assesses, collaborates, and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge
• Assesses patient/family learning needs, abilities and readiness to learn and integrates needs into plan of care Occupational Therapist Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or post Graduate degree (OT)
    • Current Florida OT License (Occupational Therapist)
    • BLS Certification
    • Minimum 1 year hospital experience, critical care/acute care preferred
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Superior analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
    • Team, detail and goal oriented
    • Positive, professional and empathetic demeanor
    • Ability to work flexible schedule
