Occupational Therapist Needed for Home Health Agency
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of skilled home healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing quality care to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• Evaluate patients' functional status, including muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, and self-care ability.
  
• Assess the home environment for hazards and barriers to independent living, and identify equipment needs.
  
• Develop treatment programs and establish goals for improved function, communicating plans with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  
• Teach patients new skills or retrain them in daily activities lost due to illness or injury, in accordance with organization policy.
  
• Fabricate splints and instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment to improve function.
  
• Train patients in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices.
  
• Maintain accurate clinical records, notes, and reports to physicians, submitting records in accordance with organization policy.
  
• Collaborate with other personnel involved in patient care to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
  
• Participate in in-services, case conferences, and meetings to ensure comprehensive plans of care.
  
• Identify patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and refer as appropriate.
  
• Instruct patients' family/caregivers and other healthcare personnel in treatment regimes when indicated.
  
• Supervise certified occupational therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.
  
• Participate in discharge planning for patients.
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
    
  • Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
    
  • Licensed to practice as an OT in the State of Florida.
    
  • Two years of clinical experience as an occupational therapist.
    
  • Current BLS Certification.
    
  • Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills.
    
  • Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with organization requirements.
