Job Description Job Description Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a top Healthcare client. This specialized role is responsible for performing a variety of technical Nuclear Medicine procedures for screening and diagnostic purposes, applying ionizing radiation safely in accordance with ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. The Technologist prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates specialized imaging equipment, and processes diagnostic images to aid in the detection of pathology. Job Responsibilities Perform diverse technical procedures in Nuclear Medicine, applying ionizing radiation strictly in accordance with ALARA safety standards. Prepare and accurately administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for various diagnostic and screening procedures. Operate and regulate specialized Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality, reproducible diagnostic images. Process and organize diagnostic images, ensuring they are properly labeled and ready for physician interpretation. Maintain all Nuclear Medicine equipment, performing quality control checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Ensure meticulous patient safety protocols are followed, including obtaining consent and providing clear explanations of the procedure. Collaborate with radiologists and the medical team to optimize imaging protocols and enhance diagnostic outcomes. Requirements Education Associate Degree is required. Completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiography program is preferred. Experience Prior experience performing Nuclear Medicine procedures is strongly preferred (implied by the job title). Certifications/Licenses Registered Radiographer (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification is REQUIRED. Current State Registered Radiologic Technician license. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Skills Comprehensive knowledge of radiation safety, including ALARA principles and radiopharmaceutical handling. Demonstrated ability to operate, regulate, and maintain sophisticated Nuclear Medicine imaging equipment. Benefits Competitive pay with opportunities for overtime and weekend shifts.
