Lee Health seeks a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our NICU team, focusing on providing specialized therapy to newborns requiring intensive care. This position provides a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment within a leading healthcare system known for its commitment to improving community health. The selected candidate will develop tailored therapy programs to assist in the developmental progress of neonates, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the department’s mission of delivering high-quality, holistic care. Assess the developmental needs of neonates and devise individualized therapy plans. Implement therapeutic interventions to aid in the developmental progress of newborns. Collaborate with NICU nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Educate and support families in understanding their baby's needs and therapy progress. Regularly evaluate and adjust therapeutic interventions based on patient progress and best practices. Maintain patient documentation according to professional and regulatory standards. Expertise in neonatal therapy and developmental care practices. Ability to assess patient needs and develop effective therapy interventions. Strong collaborative and communication skills to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams. Capability to educate and support families with sensitivity and empathy. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid State Licensure as an Occupational Therapist. NBCOT certification. Special training or certification in neonatal care is highly desirable.
