Job Description:

Location: Cape Coral, FL (Gulf Coast Region)
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing through end of year
Credentialing Timeframe: 30 days

Schedule & Coverage:

• Shift: Daily 24-hour inpatient call (7:00 AM 7:00 AM)

• Frequency: Minimum 1 full week/month

• Call: Nightly or every other night (varies by site)

• Site Coverage: One location/day no mid-day travel; flexibility across sites preferred

Duties & Volume:

• Inpatient GI hospitalist coverage

• Consults, follow-ups, and procedures (scopes)

• Patient Volume: patients/day

Required Procedures:

• Colonoscopy

• Endoscopy

• ERCP Required

• EUS Preferred (minimum 24 EUS in last 36 months incl. mucosal/submucosal, pancreaticobiliary, FNA)

Support Provided:

• Advanced Practice Providers

• Fully staffed endoscopy unit

• General hospital support

Requirements:

• Active FL Medical License

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology

• Clean NPDB and background

• Must meet procedure log thresholds:

  • 50 inpatient/consult patients in past 12 months

  • Documented ERCP experience
